About Alyssa

I believe that lasting change happens through insight, self-understanding, and the experience of being genuinely known by another person. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I help clients explore the underlying patterns that may be keeping them stuck—whether those patterns show up in relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, perfectionism, or the ways they cope with life’s challenges.

I completed a fellowship in psychodynamic therapy at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute, where I deepened my understanding of how our earliest experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns continue to shape our lives. Combined with my background in human development, psychology, and social work, this training allows me to approach therapy with both curiosity and depth.

My style is warm, engaged, and collaborative. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, notice recurring themes, and help you make connections that may not have been apparent before. Therapy isn’t about telling you who you are or what you should do; it’s about creating a space where you can better understand yourself, develop greater freedom in your choices, and build a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

I strive to create an environment where you feel both supported and gently challenged. My hope is that our work together helps you leave therapy with a deeper understanding of yourself, more satisfying relationships, and greater confidence in navigating whatever comes next.
